If You Have A Dog
Wells-next-the-sea is an ideal dog friendly place to stay in North Norfolk. Not only does the cottage offer an enclosed garden but it is close to the beach and a few minutes stroll to the centre of Wells – which is an exceptionally dog friendly place.
Your dog is welcome and we have dog bowls, a dog spa (actually an outside tap/ hose) and towels to dry them afterwards. Complimentary doggie shampoo is also provided.
Wells beach is great for dogs and apart from a small stretch, they can roam freely off the lead.

Location Highlights
Coastguard Cottage sits in a prime spot in Wells‑next‑the‑Sea, North Norfolk. From the front door you can stroll to Staithe Street with its independent shops, cafés and restaurants, or wander down to the quay to watch the fishing boats and do some crabbing.
The award‑winning Wells beach and the famous pinewoods are just a short walk away and Holkham Beach can be easily reached on foot along the coast path. You can walk to Holkham Estate via the back entrance through the woods.
Once you’ve parked the car, you can genuinely leave it for the whole week — everything you need is right on your doorstep.
